00 / Hour We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to assist an Athletics department for a private university in Thomasville, GA.
As an integral part of the Athletics department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring effective communication and smooth operations between coaches, the athletic director, and the community.
Your professionalism and proficiency will contribute to the mission of this university and create a positive experience for their student-athletes.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the Athletic Director, including managing phone calls, emails, and written correspondence.
Assist in the preparation of annual reports on athletics for external organizations.
Coordinate the distribution and collection of athletic scholarships for student-athletes.
Facilitate the enrollment process for new student-athletes, including international students.
Conduct orientation sessions for new Athletic Assistants and assist in administrative tasks related to their employment.
Manage payroll processes, including collecting timesheets and submitting them for processing.
Oversee the scheduling and allocation of university fleet vehicles.
Record accurate minutes during staff meetings.
Assist with financial tasks such as reviewing and submitting invoices for payment.
Maintain organized filing systems and update department policies and lists.
Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Four year degree (preferred) Previous administrative experience (preferred) Proficient in Microsoft Outlook platform (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
) Requirements Strong attention to detail Clean drug screen and background check Able to work at a desk for long periods of time Work well in teams and individually Be willing to learn and take initiative Time management skills Lift and move 45 pounds or more Strong problem solving skills Work well in a fast-paced environment Wear business casual attire Excellent customer service skills Location:
