Material Handlers Cycle Counter Forklift Operators Basic Function:
Responsible for providing direct supervision to employees, including safety of employees, clear instructions to employees, development and training of employees.
Provide proper procedures to include standard work for employees, ensure employees are properly supported, and ensure the quality of work meets standard.
Ensure work is complete and properly documented and/or transacted.
Set work levels for each process during the work period.
Measure deliverables against the standard and keep costs within expectations.
Reconcile inventory issues to include actively engaging with the Logistics Manager, and Controller to identify root cause issues.
Assign personnel to tasks.
Evaluate staffing needs.
Essential Duties:
Must possess creativity/adaptability to successfully manage department, to effectively address changing business conditions and to achieve objectives.
Must provide effective management of subordinates to achieve desired results.
Attributes necessary to meet this need may include communications, motivation, team building, employee involvement, diplomacy, delegating, etc.
, skills as well as confidence and enthusiasm.
Must possess thorough and relevant manufacturing knowledge.
Interfaces with manufacturing departments to expedite parts distribution and resolve any issues.
Position requires routine walking as part of normal job duties.
Establish standard processes.
Teach employees, audit employees, and work with employees to develop improvement.
Other Duties:
Work with Logistics Manager and other facility to control, protect and maintain inventory, receive, and put away materials, and transfer materials.
Sustain material presented on the manufacturing floor, and deliver material on time, in the right quantities.
Maintain the inventory held in the yard.
Responsible for 5S, as directed.
Internal Contacts:
Frequent Make contacts that sometimes involve controversy where established methods or procedures require interpretation.
Experience Required:
2 years Working Conditions and Hazards:
Normal plant, shop, warehouse, or office conditions.
From time to time, slightly disagreeable features.
Negligible/little or no exposure to hazardous conditions.
